Skippered Catamaran Croatia: A Week of Sailing Adventure

If you’re seeking the thrill of sailing, combined with a mix of history, sea adventures, breath taking natural landscapes, exquisite dining, and lively island nightlife, then a 7-day skippered catamaran journey from Split to Dubrovnik in Croatia is the perfect experience for you.

Day 1: Split to island Šolta (Maslinica)

Distance: 14 NM
Sailing Time: 2-3 hours

Your journey begins in Split or Trogir, where you will board a catamaran. Our first destination is Maslinica on the island of Šolta, a charming little fishing village. We suggest that you dive into the crystal-clear sea and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the island of Šolta. As the evening approaches, we propose dinner in one of the local restaurants, enjoying fresh seafood with a view of the harbour.

Day 2: Šolta to Vis

Distance: 20 NM
Sailing Time: 4-5 hours

The next morning, we will set sail for the island of Vis, one of the most beautiful Croatian islands, known for its natural beauty and rich history. You can choose an anchorage in the town of Vis or the traditional fishing village of Komiža. Spend the afternoon exploring the picturesque streets of the island or take a boat trip to the Blue Cave on the island of Biševo. The shimmering blue glow inside the cave is truly a sight to behold.

Day 3: Vis to Hvar (Pakleni Archipelago)

Distance: 12 NM
Sailing Time: 2-3 hours

On today’s schedule is island of Hvar one of the most beautiful and famous Croatian islands. On the way to Hvar, you will stop at the beautiful Pakleni Archipelago. These small unique islands are full of secluded coves perfect for swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing in the sun. For the night, we recommend anchoring in Vinogradišće bay, also known as South Palmižana.

Day 4: Hvar and Pakleni Archipelago

Distance: 1 NM
Sailing Time: 20 minutes

Spend an extra day exploring the Pakleni Islands or head into Hvar Town for some adventure. Take a stroll through the town’s cobbled streets, visit the historic fort, and get a taste of Hvar’s famous nightlife. Dine at Gariful, a well-known seaside restaurant, for an unforgettable meal featuring local flavours. When the sun goes down, the town comes alive, offering plenty of opportunities to experience Hvar’s lively nightlife.

Day 5: Hvar to Korčula

Distance: 34 NM
Sailing Time: 6-7 hours

Set sail toward Korčula, an island brimming with history and culture. The town of Korčula, often referred to as “Little Dubrovnik,” is a perfect place to get lost in medieval streets lined with charming stone buildings. You can also visit the house believed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo famous explorer. Finish the day with dinner in the old town, where you’ll find plenty of cozy restaurants serving up local specialties. Our recommendation would be restaurant Adio Mare.

Day 6: Korčula to Mljet

Distance: 20 NM
Sailing Time: 4-5 hours

Today’s destination is Mljet, one of Croatia’s greenest and most stunning islands, famous for its National Park. Anchor near Pomena or Polače, and take the opportunity to explore Mljet’s lush forests, saltwater lakes, and scenic walking trails. It’s the perfect day for reconnecting with nature and enjoying some peace and quiet.

Day 7: Mljet to Elaphiti Islands and Dubrovnik

Distance: 30 NM
Sailing Time: 6-7 hours

Today is the final day of our trip and the grand finale of our magical route. Set sail early for Dubrovnik, stopping along the way to explore the Elaphiti Islands. Dive into the calm sea surrounding Šipan, Lopud or Koločep. Continuing towards Dubrovnik, you will be greeted by a beautiful view of the walled city. Sailing under the walls of the Old Town is a definite memorable moment.

Dubrovnik is truly magical after dark, and we spend the evening exploring the old town.
