It is that time of the year when you start exploring your different traveling options to foreign countries.

For some time now, Turkey has remained the center of attraction due to historical sites and overall natural beauty. Even though 3 days for exploring Istanbul is not enough, one should try to make the best of it.

Turkey eVisa

Turkey eVisa or electronic visa is like a regular visa, but you can get it by applying online from home. This makes the visa application process a breeze. Follow a 3-step process to get the mandatory visa to Turkey permit.

Fill an online application form, pay the fees, and check your inbox, evisa Turkey arrives at your e-mail address in a PDF version!

Let us help you with your trip so that you get to experience Turkey at its best.

Day 1

Blue Mosque

Your three-day expedition should kick-off from the Blue Mosque. It is one of the must-see attractions in the world. Tourists describe it as the most photogenic building in Turkey. Built between 1609 and 1616, the Blue Mosque was made by Mehmet Aga.

The initial idea was that it should surpass its rival, Hagia Sophia. Every inch of the mosque reeks luxury and elegance. It was built with such precision that tourists often find it hard to believe that it was all human-made.

Sultanahmet & Hippodrome

Sultanahmet Square is located beside the Blue Mosque. Furthermore, it is situated right in the center of Old Istanbul. The square is surrounded by streets that feature a tremendous amount of art and architecture.

In addition to that, the small gardens are a nice place to sit and observe people. It is one of the most iconic sites globally, and one cannot merely miss it while visiting Turkey.

Day 2

Topkapi Palace

The second day begins at the Topkapi Palace, which was the former residence of the Ottoman Sultans. The Topkapi Palace was built shortly after Mehmed the Conqueror’s Ottoman conquest of Istanbul. Then it continued to expand thanks to the exceeding sultans who transformed it into a miniature city.

Today it consists of stables, libraries, kitchens, and schools, etc. There was a time when it had a population of nearly 4,000 people. However, by 1909 it was abandoned. Then, in 1924, it was converted into a museum.

Grand Bazaar

If you are visiting Turkey over the weekend, you need to visit Grand Bazaar. It is going to be the best thing you ever did in Turkey.

The Grand Bazaar happens to be the largest market in Istanbul while being the world’s largest covered market. It consists of lanterns, jewelry, leather goods, carpets, hookah, and thousands of other shops that bring the total shop count to 4,000.

Day 3

Galata Bridge

The original Galata Bridge was built in 1845. However, the one you see today was built in 1994. You should visit the bridge at sunset when everything appears breathtakingly beautiful.

The lower deck consists of several bars, restaurants, and cafes. In addition to that, the Galata Bridge stands as one of the most iconic landmarks in Turkey. Not only is it an architectural marvel, but it acts as a link between two sides of European Istanbul.

Bosphorus Ferry

The Bosphorus Ferry offers a different view of Turkey. It allows you to sail directly under Istanbul’s skyline, allowing you to admire many sightings that would otherwise remain hidden.

The ferry ride lasts 20 minutes and runs between 07:00 and 23:00. Once you hop on the Bosphorus Ferry, you would want the ride to keep running until your expedition ends.

Conclusion

As we said earlier, 3 days are not enough to explore even half of Turkey, but if you visit the places mentioned above, your 3-day expedition will probably become the most memorable experience of your life.
