10 Amazing Places to Visit in the UAE With a Rented Car

  • February 4, 2022
  • Jules

The UAE is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Having won an incredible 63 titles at the World Travel Awards 2021, the UAE has a lot of things to offer. From sports tours and luxurious beach resorts to ancient historical sights and a sprawling nightlife scene, the UAE can accommodate shoppers, thrill-seekers, nature lovers, and people looking for a wholesome family vacation.

Renting a car is the quickest and most convenient way of getting around Dubai and other places in the UAE. If you are traveling with a large group, luxury vans for rental in the Arab Emirates is another great option. Let’s take a look at 10 amazing places you can visit with a rented vehicle.

Khor Fakkan

Let’s head to Khor Fakkan Bay in the Gulf of Oman to start the journey. It has a world-famous curving beach and a mountain area with dozens of natural waterfalls. Constantly voted as one of the best tourist destinations in the UAE, Khor Fakkan is a great place for scuba diving, lounging on the beach, or visiting a historical Portuguese fort to take some pictures.

Hatta City

The closest thing to getting into a time machine and traveling a thousand years back in time is visiting Hatta City. It houses a historic village that features traditional houses, dams, and irrigation channels (falaj), defensive buildings, antique weapons, agricultural tools, household items, and more! You can also travel to the scenic Hajar Mountains.

Al Muraba’a Fort in Al Ain City Center

If you visit Abu Dhabi, make sure to see the Police Fort that is located in Al Ain City Center. It was constructed more than 80 years ago. Also known as Al Muraba’a Fort, the structure is a monument to the ingenuity of the local builders. Fashioned entirely from clay, dried bricks, and mud plaster, the fort pays homage to traditional Arabic architecture. It is one of the most popular selfie spots in the UAE.

Liwa Desert

Safari lovers, rejoice! If you want to experience authentic nomadic life, visit the desert of Liwa during the summer months. It has several picturesque oases, desert villages, nature, and wildlife areas. See antelopes grazing on the grass near wadis and camels walking slowly through the orange sand dunes. The Liwa desert is a great place to go on a hunting trip.

Jumeirah Beach

If you love to spend hours bathing and surfing and don’t want to pay a hefty entry fee, Jumeirah Beach is the best free place to visit in the UAE. Enjoy your time basking in the sun, playing beach volleyball, and taking pictures. It’s a fun place to bring your family to. Your children will be ecstatic.

Jumeirah Mosque

If you are interested in the religious customs and traditions of the Arabs, visit the famous Jumeirah Mosque. It’s open to non-Muslims six days a week. Its visual style resembles Fatimid architecture. If you arrive early, you can hire a guide or join a tour group. If you take the latter option, you can sample the delicious local cuisine.

Abra Ride

If you want to beat the heat, go to Bar Dubai and cool off by taking the Abra Ride. Travel across the Dubai Creek on a traditional abra. It’s comfortable, air-conditioned and unbelievably cheap.

Sir Bani Yas

While the UAE has a few man-made islands, Sir Bani Yas is the largest natural one. It is a designated natural area. Visitors can spend time watching birds and other wildlife, mountain biking, or taking a safari trip. If you are fun of kayaking, snorkeling, and other water-related activities, Sir Bani Yas is the place to be.

Zabeel Park

If you get tired of traveling and want to spend some quality family time, visit the Zabeel Park in Dubai. It’s in close proximity to the city center. Enjoy its sparkling pools and quiet walks in the park. Your children will have a great time exploring the playgrounds. The park has a few barbeque spots if you want to cook a large family meal.

Burj Khalifa

You haven’t really been to the UAE unless you’ve visited the Burj Khalifa. It’s the tallest building in the world. Take a tour of the tower, or party inside the Burj Khalifa if you buy a ticket to one of the many events hosted there.

Conclusion

The UAE has a lot of amazing places inside and outside the cities you can visit with a rented car. Rent a vehicle from a trusted provider like Paddock Rent A Car, and enjoy your travels.
