Four reasons you should explore St Kitts & Nevis by charter yacht this season

  • October 4, 2021
  • Jules

Often referred to as the Secret Jewels of the Caribbean, a St Kitts and Nevis yacht charter will let you discover the magnificent beaches, colourful history and vibrant culture this destination has to offer. With so many things to and see across these islands, the best way to explore everything the dual island nation of St Kitts and Nevis has to offer is via a luxury charter yacht. The ideal dream tropical haven to unwind in privacy, here are the main four reasons you should book a St Kitts and Nevis yacht charter.

Breathtaking Beaches
The tropical destination of choice for yachting enthusiasts in search of peace and tranquillity, there is certainly no lack of gorgeous beaches to be found on these twin islands. St Kitts is home to idyllic slices of volcanic sand beaches lined with calm, swaying palm trees that are set against a lush, verdant backdrop. Head to South Friar’s Bay, an easygoing beach with glistening black sands and crystal clear waters, making it ideal for snorkelling. Enjoy a quiet picnic by Majors Bay Beach and enjoy swimming in the warm waters of this unspoiled, hidden bay before diving by the old wreck.

Stunning Snorkelling & Scuba Diving Spot

Both islands are home to several snorkelling and diving sites. Surrounded by calm, clear waters, swimmers and divers of all levels will feel right at ease as they explore everything this magical underwater world has to offer. The wreck of MV River Raw and MV Talata are popular shipwreck sites, teeming with coral reefs and colourful marine life. The Brimstone Shallows Reef is the place to be if you want to swim among grey reef sharks and turtles living in soft and hard coral reefs. Offering visibility to 100-feet, Coconut Tree Reef is home to many colourful schools of fish and large barrel corals and is perfect for beginners. With countless diving spots across St Kitts and Nevis, you will be spoiled for choice.

Rich Tapestry of History
Learn more about the rich culture and history found on these twin islands during your St Kitts and Nevis yacht charter. The capital city of St Kitts, Basseterre, features several historical sites and architectural wonders dating back to the 16th-century, like the Independence Square and the Circus, worth visiting in person. The Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the best-preserved historical fortifications in the Americas. Carved out of volcanic rock by African slave labour in the late 17th century, this impregnable fortress was designed by British military engineers. The Clay Villa Plantation House and Gardens date back to 1763 and was the only free-working estate on the island. Visit these sites, as well as many others found on the islands.

Delectable Dining

St Kitts and Nevis offer an abundance of divine local cuisine as well as international flavours. With several options available, berth your luxury yacht at Christopher Harbour and head to SALT Plage, a stunning location built on the foundations of the Old Salt Factory to sample some Caribbean dishes and staple ingredients, like snapper and okra. If you’re a fan of seafood, then head over to Bananas to try some of the best seafood available in the Caribbean.

Why not escape the stress of daily life with a luxury St Kitts and Nevis yacht charter and take in all the untouched glory the twin islands have to offer?
