Why Rent a Car for Sightseeing in Curacao?

  • September 20, 2021
  • Jules

If you’re visiting Curacao and have your mindset on a scenic drive, renting a car is the way to go to explore around at your leisure. The island has gorgeous scenery and a wide variety of activities that will suit any taste. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day tour or a more active one, renting a car will let you explore this island. If you decide to head to the coast, there are some interesting sites and restaurants along the way.

What are my options?

The trip out to the coast is most time-consuming, but it is likely the most scenic. The going is up and going is back, but the view of the island’s lush terrain and clear waters is worth it. In addition, you will get a chance to meet with some real Curacaoans along the way.  If you’re looking for a more active day, then hiking in the mountains is a good idea. Renting a car in Curacao will give you access to a greater range of activities in a day. It is best to go when there is not much rain, but it will be a great way to get out of the city for an afternoon when the weather is good.

Where am I going?

Curacao has some scenic drives that are perfect for an afternoon drive. The most popular drive is to the west coast, where you will find several restaurants and beaches. The road has lots of twists and turns and passes through the countryside. Along the way, you can stop at a couple of restaurants and cafes for some local cuisine.

Always keep an eye out for exciting attractions along the way because many will pique your interest. There are plenty of shops and other places that your entire family will enjoy seeing. You’ll also see plenty of opportunities to pick up some souvenirs to remember your trip by.

What do I need?

The most important thing you’ll need to bring is your sense of adventure and some time to enjoy the drive. Make sure you have booked a reputable car rental curacao airport company. This is the type of vehicle that you’ll want to rent for this trip. The car should be decent on gas mileage because one way or another, you’ll be on the road for the day.

Make sure that you have a full tank of gas when you leave in the morning. You’ll want to avoid dealing with the hassle of running out in the middle of nowhere. Also, make sure that you bring some water bottles, snacks, and a camera. Let’s face it; you’ll be driving through some of the most picturesque parts of the island. So don’t be afraid to get out of your car and take pictures. The scenery will make a lasting impression on you and your family.

If you go with a reputable company, there will be a sense of security when driving around in Curacao. Renting a car here will give you the freedom to enjoy the island at your leisure. It’s also an excellent way to do a day tour of the island.
