Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities globally, thanks to its mountain backdrop and urban beaches. It is one of the most popular cities in Canada, and while here, you can be sure you won’t be short of things to do, places to see, and neighborhoods to enjoy. It’s worth noting that Vancouver is one of those cities with extensive parks and excellent climate, with temperatures remaining mild throughout the year hence making it the perfect destination for outdoor activities. That’s not all as the city takes great pride in a busy cultural life, excellent shopping, and fantastic dining. It is one of those places that you can’t lack something to do or a place to be. There’s something for everyone. What’s even better, using Cathay Pacific, you can get a convenient flight from Hong Kong to Vancouver. Once you reach your destination, the following are the top attractions you should be looking out for;

Stanley Park

Stanley Park is among the biggest urban parks in North America, and it’s unique, too, since it’s surrounded by water. What makes Stanley Park an outstanding tourist attraction is that there are many things to see in and around the park. From its beaches to a lagoon and a lake with spectacular views from every angle, you can rest assured this place is worth every bit of your precious time. What’s more, there’s a seawall, so if you like exercising, you are well covered. It’s worth noting that Stanley Park has the World’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path so you can walk around or ride a bike while enjoying a fantastic view of its environs. There’s no doubt that Stanley Park is an excellent destination while in Vancouver.

Gastown

Your visit to Vancouver will never be complete if you don’t visit the city’s most historic neighborhood. Gastown will give you the ultimate experience of the past, and what’s even better is that it’s located next door to the downtown area. If you visit here, the food and drinks don’t disappoint. You’ll have a wide variety and some excellent dishes. You also get to see the steam clock, which is one of the few left worldwide. Likewise, don’t forget to capture the Gassy Jack’s statue, which is quite popular.

Grouse Mountain

Be it summer or winter,  Grouse Mountain never disappoints. Its panorama in clear weather is unique, especially at night when the city lights are on. Around, there’s a gondola that operates daily and runs from the street level to the summit. Mountaintop explorers get treated to dining activities and wildlife. When there’s snow, Grouse Mountain is a beautiful haven with lots of outdoor activities such as skiing, skating, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. The best part is that the ski runs here are not challenging, so beginners can learn how to ski. When summer comes, Grouse Mountain is every hiker’s dream thanks to its trails, particularly the famous Grouse Grind. This mountain is one of the places you want to visit while in Vancouver.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

The Capilano suspension bridge is just north of Stanley Park, which is also around 20 minutes from the city center. It is among the best places to see if you happen to be in Vancouver. The sight from up the bridge is worth living for. Even if you are scared of heights, you would love to try this out. The Capilano suspension bridge is 460 feet long and sits 230 feet high above the river. The view is quite impressive, and the perfect opportunity to appreciate beautiful Canadian nature.

Museum of Anthropology

Museums are one of the best sightseeing places, so if you happen to be in Vancouver, make it a priority to visit one. Luckily, there is the museum of anthropology that is famous for its art and culture displays, especially those of the first people of Canada. Here there are over 16000 objects on display, which mostly focus on natives of the Pacific Northwest. Visiting the museum gives you a sense of the past and how the natives of the land went about their business.

Vancouver Aquarium

Nature provides the best sightseeing attractions, and Vancouver isn’t short of that. You will find one of the best aquariums in the country with over 50,000 fascinating creatures from the Arctic to the Amazon. From the daily dolphin to the shark and sea otter shows, you are bound to have a fantastic time here. If you want to explore even further, don’t hesitate to try a hands-on animal encounter. Make sure you make the most out of your visit to Vancouver.

Kitsilano Beach

We all wish to rest and enjoy excellent views, and that’s what the Kitsilano beach is all about. Here you get the perfect picture of the Vancouver lifestyle. It’s also one of the places that most locals come to hang out with friends or swim in the outdoor heated seawater. This wide beach has become quite popular over the years with sunbathers in the summer. This place is not limited to the beach and oceanfront since there are several cafes and walking trails to give you a wholesome experience.

Queen Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth Park is known for its beauty and excellent views. While it may be a shadow of Stanley Park, this 130-acre park offers fantastic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. What’s even better, you can visit the park anytime, regardless of the season. The view is as satisfying as they get.

VanDusen Botanical Garden

If you are a nature lover, what a better way to spend your time in Vancouver besides enjoying various plant species and varieties? The VanDusen Botanical Garden is a 55-acre outdoor oasis with more than 7500 plant species. While here, be sure to spot some local wildlife, so you better bring your camera and take some beautiful photographs. It is an excellent place to enjoy the serene environment with your friends and family.

Traveling to a new destination is fun, especially with a smooth flight. It gets even better if you’ve familiarised yourself with the city you are visiting. The last thing is getting confused about where to start. The above guide contains some of the things you should look out for if you happen to be in Vancouver. Be sure to make the most out of your time and capture some long-lasting memories.
