Six lucky travellers will be jetting out to enjoy some of Myanmar’s hottest destinations with a contest announced this week by three of Asia’s biggest travel providers. The prize draw is being held by Agoda, Bangkok Airways and MyanmarBurma.com, a new site offering comprehensive travel advice and booking services in the country.
The prizes includes free hotel stays in three of Myanmar’s most exclusive accommodations, and round trip flights from Bangkok, the country’s main air hub.
Participating hotels include Yangon’s Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake, a 5-star property with stunning views of the city’s iconic Kandawgyi Lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Royal Naypyitaw Hotel and the Hotel Yadanarbon in Mandalay.
Travellers can enter the prize draw by answering some simple questions online at: http://www.myanmarburma.com/contest
The contest has been announced to celebrate the new partnership between Agoda, Bangkok Airways and MyanmarBurma.com, as well as mark the opening of Bangkok Airways new route from Bangkok to Mandalay.
Recently emerging after years of near-absolute isolation, Myanmar is fast becoming Southeast Asia’s hottest travel destination, particularly for travelers with a taste for luxury, families, and couples looking for a romantic adventure.
The country boasts beaches, landscapes, archaeology and a famously warm culture that easily rivals its neighbours in the region’s more visited destinations, yet many of these highlights remain unspoiled by years of mass tourism and the party-fuelled backpacker scene that is so prevalent elsewhere.
Kevin McKenzie, of MyanmarBurma.com, said: “Myanmar is easily the region’s biggest travel destination right now. When you think about the beaches and islands of Thailand or the temples of Cambodia, you have all that and much, much more here in Myanmar except without any of the crowds and saturation. This is the perfect place for any traveller who wants to enjoy the best that Southeast Asia has to offer with a level of tranquility and service quality that is unavailable elsewhere.”
The contest can be entered online at http://www.myanmarburma.com/contest starting on 25 November 2013 until 22 December. Entries are limited to one per valid email address. The contest is open to all travelers with a valid passport for travel to Myanmar. Prizes will be valid for 6 months following the announcement of prize winners.
