Your much coveted dreams to a perfect island escapade might come true with a Polynesian vacation. Polynesia offers a perfect tranquil retreat to those busy bees that have spent their life trying to fit in themselves in tight schedules, demanding professions and day to day drudgery! There are clusters of serene islands, some of them rarely explored by the human race, amidst the vast azure of southern and central Pacific Ocean. Although a Polynesian trip has many delights on offer, find below five suggested places and activities that you would love indulging in:

French Polynesia: French Polynesia is one of the most beautiful archipelagos that include destinations like Bora Bora and Tahiti. Indulge in diverse beach activities for real thrills and explore the culture of the islands for more fun and entertainment. Do not miss walking down the boulevards and lovely black sandy beaches. A hike trip to the green island of Moorea and canyoneering are two much popular activities here.

Cook Islands: The Cook Islands comprise 15 separate islands and is one of the most precious treasures of Pacific that you cannot afford to miss on your Polynesian holiday. A diving trip to the mysterious Rarotonga underwater world will leave you exhilarated. Watching the marine beauty from a glass bottom boat or taking a snorkelling spree in the ocean waters contribute to the fun and frolic of all visitors. Other adventures include mountain biking and trekking.

Tuvalu: The tranquil shoreline of Tuvalu, previously called Ellice Islands, bordered with palms and conventional thatched huts is a real delight for a traveller’s soul. The reef islands and atolls are located midway between both Hawaii and Australia in the Pacific Ocean. A must visit attraction of Tuvalu is Funafuti Lagoon located at the capital city of Funafuti. Other activities include plenty of water sports like swimming, diving and snorkelling. A boat trip to the Funafuti Marine Conservation marine park will let you explore the diverse fauna including turtles, tropical fish and sea birds.

American Samoa: This Polynesian island offers you a heavenly retreat with diverse activities and entertainments. Adventure begins with watching the world’s largest mammal from real close during the whale watching trips. Hikers and trekkers would certainly enjoy exploring the beautiful trails of Mount Alava. Other favourite choice for trekkers and mountain bikers are the tall Piumafua, Lata and Metafao Mountains. You can also enjoy some leisurely time fishing gobies, basses and even shrimps!

Pitcairn Islands: Four volcanic islands make up the Pitcairn Island group; Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno. This particular destination in the Southern Pacific Ocean offers a great deal of variety to travellers who wish to explore something more than natural panorama of a picturesque island. The historical remains of the bounty and shipwrecks will certainly thrill you. Do not miss the couple of museums in Pitcairn Islands that allows you to peep through the islands’ culture and traditions. Also there are snorkelling, diving and down roping activities available for adventure lovers.
