How’s this for a great idea? Don’t bother dragging a suitcase rammed full of clothes half way around the world – rent your holiday wardrobe when you arrive!
The pilot project is called ‘Zero Baggage’ and is hot news from the Tourism Futures Conference. Clothing stores would provide your rental wardrobe for the duration of your stay and your pre-made selection would be waiting for you when you arrive at your hotel. When you leave the clothes are whisked off and cleaned ready for the next person.
We think it’s a great idea – it would save travelers time and money and ticks the boxes for responsible tourism – which PureTravel wholeheartedly supports! And if the clothes are what local people wear then travelers will blend in and avoid any cultural slip-ups. Might want to take your own underwear though!
