Liberia Holidays – Tours & Adventure Travel Guide
PureTravel Says
“The country of Liberia is located on the West Coast of Africa. The Atlantic Ocean and the countries of Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea border it. Monrovia is the capital of Liberia, which is named after the American President James Monroe. Historically, freed slaves from America founded Liberia in 1822 and they named the capital to express their gratitude to the president. English is the official language and Christianity is the major religion but you can also find more than 20% of the population to be Muslims living in different parts of Liberia. There are different foreign minorities and 16 aboriginal groups and this diversity in population makes Liberia attractive for holidaymakers.”

Along with several species of animals, you can find as many as 260 species of trees in this region with a lot of mahogany, ironwood and walnut trees. Sikon also grows in this part of the world.
Walking, Hiking & Trekking - Liberia’s plains can be found by moving inland around 16 to 40 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The plains are perfect for hiking and trekking. There are forestlands, low scrubs, and savannahs along with several ponds, creeks, streams and rivers.
