Travel Must-Haves for Working Professionals

  • March 10, 2021
  • Jules

Make your trips go smoother with these fun and cool gadgets; a travel laptop, a good phone for international service and data, an international travel adapter, sandals, a quick-dry towel, a flash drive for digital storage, a portable charger, and a bag organizer to keep your things organized.

These travel essentials are supposed to save you time, space, and money and are created with traveling professionals in mind.

A Travel Laptop

As a traveling professional, you need a powerful featherweight travel laptop that lasts all day long. It will provide you with a complete workstation when you are away from your office.

Lightweight

Need a laptop that is good for travel? Then pick a thin, small, and lightweight one. A lightweight laptop is easier to carry around and it can fit many bags and purses. An 11 to 13 inches laptop that weighs between 1kg and 1.5 kg would make a great traveling computer.

A powerful Laptop

Powerful laptops are the best tools for doing serious work such as editing, professional gaming, and other office work. Therefore, they need to have good specs for a great performance.

Choose a laptop with a good processor and RAM. The processor is the brain of your computer. Go for Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors.  They are great at multitasking and you can perform your tasks at great speeds.

RAM is also another important consideration when buying a travel laptop. A good RAM like 4GB allows more applications to run at the same time. It comes in handy for professional tasks.

Battery Life

Battery life is worth considering.  If you travel often for work, you definitely need a laptop that can keep the charge. It is never easy to find spots for charging your computer while traveling.

Also, a laptop with a long battery life will allow you to work longer in a place without electricity.  I am talking about machines that can run for 9 to 17 hours.  Look at the rating of the battery in watt-hours. If it’s higher, the battery will last longer.

Baggage storage

Just because you make a stop on your journey doesn’t mean you can’t get out and explore. Any good traveller needs to know what luggage storage options are available to them. Check out the left luggage Kings Cross storage facility to store your bags whilst you go exploring. Never miss out on an opportunity to see the sites again just because you have luggage. Store it in a secure place instead.

A Bag Organizer

So you don’t have to be bothered with a tangled mess of cords or even disorganized toiletry, take with you a bag organizer. Most bags have a large capacity to fit even your laptop, charger, iPad mini, phone, pens.

They come with multiple pockets to organize all of your traveling essentials.  No more digging through your suitcase to find what you need. This bag organizer helps keeps everything neat and organized.  Try to get a waterproof bag organizer so your things can be protected. Other benefits of this travel essential are;

·         It will help add structure to your saggy handbag

·         It will keep sharp objects from causing harm to you or even piercing your suitcase

·         A travel bag will keep your suitcase clean from spills or even pen ink

·         Some travel items can be delicate, just throwing them in your bag or suitcase can damage them

·         With a travel organizer, it makes switching of bags easy

Mobile Phone for Travelling

Every year, mobile phones get smarter and smarter. They come with cool features to make your traveling easier and productive. When buying one for traveling, make sure it has powerful processing speeds, has a longer battery life, and has a great camera to produce real-life-like photos.

·         Its processor; this is the hub of your smartphone. A good processor will offer good performance to professionals. Processors like Snapdragon 835 and A11 Bionic processors have fast speeds.

·         Battery life. This is where most smartphones fall down; the majority of them do not have long-lasting batteries. The last thing that you need when traveling is a phone that does not keep its charge.

Carry or buy a phone that can last a full day so you can be able to do your tasks while traveling.

An international Travel Adapter

If you are traveling away from your hometown, you will need an international travel adapter. This gadget will allow you to use sockets of different countries. Most hotels provide irons and hairdryers hence no need to bring your own.

However, they do not provide a travel adapter. You can get one for less than $20 and it will let you use your device in any electrical socket.

A portable charger

If you are a working professional, you will use your phone a lot. This will surely drain your battery and this is where you need a portable charger. When shopping for one, make sure that it is compatible with most devices, is effective, portable, and charges quickly.

If you will be traveling to remote places, you can purchase a solar charger.  You can get one in an online store or a local store near you. A solar charger absorbs the energy of the sun so as to power devices.
