Worldwide travel company Thomas Cook has launched a new payment option for travellers, with “Book Now, Pay Later” Payment plans that allow travellers to book holidays without any deposit.
Paying for a holiday can be a challenging process, particularly for holidaymakers on a limited budget. Even a short trip can involve spending a large amount of cash upfront — a cost that’s risen significantly over the past few years due to rising prices for international travel.
Thomas Cook’s new £0 payment plan is aimed at helping holidaymakers spread out the costs involved in travelling.
Rather than paying for an entire holiday — including airfares, transportation and accommodation — all at once, the zero deposit scheme lets holidaymakers pay off the cost of a holiday through a direct debit installment each month.
With the last payment six weeks before leaving on holiday, the plan makes it easier to spread out and manage the cost of going on holiday.
Thomas Cook launched the “Book Now, Pay Later” plan at the beginning of March, offering the service for holidays starting from the 1st of November 2018. The plans are available for trips up to the 31st of October 2019 and cover a diverse range of destinations.
The plan includes options for a wide range of hotels, including Thomas Cook brand hotels such as Sunwing, Sentido, Casa Cook, Smartline and Sunprime.
The plans are straightforward, affordable and simple, with installments calculated based on the cost of the holiday. For a seven-day family holiday booked in May of next year, the monthly cost can be as low as £114 per month.
Another way for travellers to save on their next holiday is by scouting online for coupon codes and special offers. Thomas Cook, along with other travel companies such as First Choice and TUI, often offers discount codes through online platforms like NetVoucherCodes.co.uk.
At the moment, Thomas Cook is running an exclusive code for travellers interested in saving on their next holiday. By using BOOKIT while making a booking, customers can save as much as £300 when booking their travel online.
Commenting on the no deposit plans, Thomas Cook UK Managing Director Chris Mottershead stated that the company is “always looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to enjoy their well-earned break away.”
“Our new zero deposit buy now pay later offer means that they can get the holiday in the diary now, and then spread the cost over the coming months. Our existing direct debit payment plan is very popular with families and we expect this new offer to appeal to them too.”
