Although London remains the most popular destination in the UK, there’s so much more to the United Kingdom than its capital city. Around 30 million people visit London every year, which means it can get unbearably crowded, and many popular tourist attractions tend to be so busy, it can be hard to enjoy yourself. The capital is also famously expensive, so if you’re on a tighter budget, it can be tricky!
Our dedicated bloggers are here to help you discover those parts of the UK that are just as inspiring, but often overlooked.
Whether you’re visiting from abroad or are planning a staycation, PureTravel brings together some of the best travel bloggers in one place. We also welcome your own travel writing, whether it’s covering the UK or any other destination.

Our Latest Travel Blogs Covering the UK:
Discover Delightful Devon
One of our latest bloggers covering the UK takes a look at Devon: one of Britain’s most stunning counties, best known for its romantic beaches and wild moorland. Here you’ll find sandy beaches fringed by teetering cliffs, fishing villages, and enchanting countryside. It has two separate coastlines- north and south- both of which offer their unique delights.
Our recent blogger casts a spotlight on Topsham: a part of South Devon known for both its food and its ferries.
The South Devon coast is often known as the “English Riviera,” thanks to its palm-fringed promenades in Torquay, pretty harbours in Brixham, and sheltered coves perfect for swimming. In East Devon, the UNESCO-listed Jurassic Coast reveals 185 million years of geological history in its cliffs and fossils.
Devon also has two national parks—Dartmoor and Exmoor—which are a paradise for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders.
Food is a highlight here. Devon is famous for its cream teas, which are often served with clotted cream and jam, and its fresh seafood, especially Brixham crab. Add in farm-made ice cream, artisan cheeses and rich West Country cider, and you’ve got a true taste of the place.
Whether you want to surf Atlantic waves, hike over moorland, sail along sheltered estuaries, or simply relax with sea views and good food, Devon delivers. It’s a county that balances adventure with tranquillity, and its variety means every visit can feel different.
Fall in Love with Lancashire
Another of our UK bloggers takes a look at Lancashire, part of the UK that’s often unjustly overlooked by tourists. If you’re after a more relaxing holiday, this could be the destination for you.
Located in North West England, the county stretches from the Irish Sea coast to the edge of the Pennine hills.
For nature lovers, the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, delivers sweeping moorland views, stone villages, and great walking trails. Birdwatchers head to RSPB Leighton Moss; meanwhile, cyclists and hikers love the Lancashire Coastal Way.
It’s a fantastic place for history lovers. Lancaster Castle tells stories stretching from Roman times to modern prison life, while Samlesbury Hall offers Tudor architecture and ghostly legends.
Lancashire also knows how to have fun. Blackpool is its most famous seaside resort, with the iconic Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach rides, and a seafront that lights up during the annual Illuminations.
Travelling with Your Pooch? This Blog Covers Dog-Friendly Destinations
Many of our bloggers know how much people love travelling with their dog. That’s why travel blogger Robert has compiled a list of the best dog-friendly destinations in the UK. To make life easier, he focuses on particular establishments which welcome our canine friends, including The Lygon Arms in the Cotswolds- one of the most exquisite parts of Britain.
Popular with celebrities, the Cotswolds is not only beautiful: it’s a great place to visit with your dog. Villages like Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Broadway are not just scenic: they’re packed with dog-friendly pubs, tearooms, and boutique shops that welcome pets inside.
Many historic attractions, such as Sudeley Castle’s gardens or Batsford Arboretum, allow dogs on leads, so you can explore together.
