Best Things to do at Disney World

  • April 18, 2023

Disneyland is the ultimate destination for family fun. Featuring four magical theme parks, two water parks, and dozens of amazing entertainment, shopping, and dining spots, Disney World has no shortage of fun things to do. A visit to this magical place allows adults and kids to enjoy many amazing attractions, experiences, and events. There are some wonderful accommodation options so look around to discover what they each have to offer, such as the fun things to do at dvc’s Hilton Head Resort.

Each of the four theme parks in Disney is different and has many fun things to do. Whether you’re a thrill seeker or are looking for a cool family ride, Disney has many great rides you would want to hit up during your stay, from thrill rides to mountain and safari rides. According to MagicGuides, however, some water and theme park rides have strict height requirements for safety reasons.

It’s always best to know which rides have height requirements while planning your Disneyland vacation. Here are some of the best things to do at Disneyland to make your vacation much more enjoyable:

1. Go On an Exclusive Safari

Going on an exclusive safari at the animal kingdom lodge is undoubtedly one of the best things to do in Disney World. Set out for the savannah during the daytime on an expedition to the Safi River Valley for an opportunity to see hippos, giraffes, and rhinos. The Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience allows you to spend time on the savannah, watching wild animals stirring in the twilight.

While you’re guaranteed to see animals at any time of day during your safari expedition, visiting early in the morning gives you the best opportunity for up-close encounters. You can end your safari ride by trying some of the African delicacies.

2. Learn How to Draw Like a Disney Animator

Attending drawing classes is one of the most popular and fun things to do at Disney World. The best part is that you don’t have to be a professional artist to enjoy this fun activity at Disney World, since you’re given clear instructions to make drawing your favorite character as simple as possible. As a result, you’re guaranteed to have a great time learning how to sketch out iconic animated Disney characters.

3. Splash Around At a Disney Water Park

Visiting Disney’s super fun water parks is a must-do during your vacation. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach water parks offer guests plenty of fun things to do, especially during summer. Put on your water sandals and favorite swimsuit, grab a beach towel, and head over to the magical Disney water rides. Be sure to upgrade your standard park hopper ticket to the Park Hopper Plus before visiting the water parks. That’s because the water park’s admission ticket is usually not included in the regular park hopper ticket.

4. Experience Rope Drop

Another fun activity you don’t want to miss during your Disney vacation is experiencing rope drop. Rope drop is basically when guests are allowed into different theme parks within Disney World. The atmosphere during the Disney rope drop is usually filled with so much excitement that you can feel it in the air. Make the most of your mornings during your stay by participating in Disney rope drop. Get up early and kick off the day with the rope drop experience. You’ll feel the excitement as people run to their favorite spots. This is a perfect way to hit up the best rides without long wait times or a wasted Fastpass.

5. Ride the 3 Fastest Rides at Disney World

If you’re a thrill seeker and adrenaline junkie, you definitely don’t want to miss riding the fastest rides at Disney. If you enjoy high drops and super-fast speeds, you should consider jumping on the single-rider line of the Test Track ride found at Epcot. This thrill ride hits maximum speeds of up to 65 miles per hour, taking you to the World Showcase for your daring ride celebration.

This thrill ride makes a great way to utilize your Epcot Fastpass, especially if you want to stick with your group without long wait times. Another of Disney’s super-fast and high-drop rides you should consider trying is the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster located in Hollywood Studios. Like the Test Track, consider using the single rider line for the best ride experience. It also makes a great choice for a Fastpass.

Designed only for the brave, the Summit Plummet is Disney’s only water park ride with a nearly vertical drop for the fastest freefall body slide. This water park ride is located in Blizzard Beach, and you’ll feel the adrenaline kick in as you drop into a tube of darkness and finally into the water.

Conclusion

As you’ve seen, there are many fun things to do in Disney World, whether you enjoy watching wild animals or thrill rides. If you’re wondering what to do during your vacation, Disney World has plenty of rides, attractions, and shows you can enjoy, depending on your length of stay.
