Travel restrictions have been slowly lifted in some countries, which is why travelers and tourists are gradually planning their next escapade once again. Many people have gotten tired of their travel hiatus and are excited to get back to earning stamps on their passports. If you’ve been considering visiting Australia very soon, it only makes sense to research early and learn about what this beautiful but smallest continent has to offer.   

Known as the land down under, Australia is often considered a traveler’s paradise. You won’t feel disappointed with their richness in culture, food diversity, sceneries, urban development, and natural sightseeing. From mountains to beaches, the country requires you to spend more time there to get the best of your trip. The key is to find sightseeing tours Australia companies that can accommodate your travel preferences and needs.  

There are so many places to visit and explore in Australia and here are just some of them:  

  1. Uluru  

Uluru is often an understated must-visit place in Australia, and both local and international tourists tend to forego touring there. However, if you’re a fan of sunrise or sunset and historical landscapes, this should be part of your bucket list. Fortunately, many Uluru tours help you get to this destination without hassles. This place is also known as the ‘Australian Red Center,’ which opens your eyes to their fascinating culture. Many visitors consider their trip to Uluru more of a spiritual experience.  

The first thing that will catch your eye is the fantastic sandstone monolith. It’s also an important symbol for the local Anangu people, as they treat the place sacrament, which is why climbing Uluru has been prohibited in 2019. However, you can still appreciate and wonder at its beauty from the base up. You can take pictures from afar and still get that best panoramic shot.   1. Whitsunday Islands  

The Whitsunday islands come with 74 islands in total, and it houses Whitehaven beach, which is one of the most visited beaches in the country. Aside from that, there are many other bay areas and white sand beaches that you can travel to, whilst enjoying an island-hopping tour booked through Australia tour packages. If you fancy water activities and sports, you can get your heart filled with contentment by doing all watersports imaginable.   

The islands are located in Queensland, and you can find convenient transportation by plane or train going there.   1. Kangaroo Island  

Despite its name, there is more wildlife to see at Kangaroo Island. This place should be a must-visit because visiting it is like hitting two birds with one stone. Aside from the native wildlife, you’d witness beautiful white beaches and a national park with mountainous breathtaking scenery.   

Located in Flinders Chase National Park, the Remarkable Rocks are a sight to behold. Over 500 million years ago, this cluster of eroded granite boulders turned orange. These are very interesting to see. And as for wildlife, let your kids have their experience watching and observing dolphins, koalas, kangaroos, and more animals than your home country may not have.   

  1. Great Barrier Reef  

Go to the tropical north to visit the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. Imagine this place as a tropical paradise where lush jungles tumble into secluded white beaches. Expect soft sand disappear into world-class dive sites, and you’ll find the most unique and endangered sea creatures on this reef.     

From June to October, the weather is perfect for visiting the Great Barrier Reef during the summer months. However, some people prefer to visit from December to February because it’s the hatching season for turtles.    

  1. Sydney Opera House  

Finally, include this in your list if you’re staying in Sydney or flying from the city to your flight back home. The Sydney Opera House is surrounded by the picturesque Harbor Bridge and the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, making it one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations.   

The Sydney Opera House is a sight to see for architectural structure lovers. Its structure is a masterpiece and is listed as one of the most elegant and beautifully designed buildings in history. It usually holds different venues and events, so it’s always filled with people and tourists. You can enjoy and tour the buildings and eat some local cuisines or fine dine in their luxurious restaurants.
