There are loads of choices when it comes to an extraordinary skiing destination.

And, there’s always a dash of excitement that comes along with every new ski season for rookies and experts alike.

A sneak peeks into some of the celebrated ski destinations, just for you.

AUSTRIA – THE MUSICAL CENTER OF EUROPE

Austria is one of the most sought-after ski destinations, largely due to its world-class and versatile resorts that cater to all classes of ski lovers.

The superior ski experience hooked with the high-octane apres-ski activities makes Austria a destination many ski enthusiasts love to visit year on year.

With expansive ski areas, the finest ski facilities, and mouth-watering dishes, you will never be disappointed with Austria.

If you would want to fall in love with the matchless snow condition, then you can never go wrong with high ski areas like Mayrhofen, Ischgl, Obergurgl, or Solden.

Not to mention, the Kitzbuhel which is acclaimed for its annual Hahnenkamm ski race.

Are you a music lover? Then Ischgl and Galtur will be your go-to ski destination. It is one of the most popular venues for open-air concerts.

Austria’s acclaimed “Gemutlichkeit” culture, ensures the guests are given a warm welcome, loaded with lip-smacking dishes, and entertained both on and off the slopes.

Austria is loaded with resort options that fit each one of your options and you will never go disappointed.

And to make things super simple for you, you can select your ideal destination with “Snowtrex”.

FRANCE – L’HEXAGONE

France is one of the most celebrated and sought-after ski destinations. It’s an abode of the world’s largest ski areas, advanced lift, and world-class cuisine.

“Courchevel”, is a classical ski resort that is the key doorway to “Les Trois Vallees” – the largest linked ski region in the world.

When it comes to Apres Ski, France has a vast collection of exotic resorts and if you want the best of the lot, then it has to be Les Deux Alpes, Val d’Isere, Val Thorens, Alpe d’Huez, Tignes, and Meribel.

France hosts some of the world’s most extravagant resorts, that can never leave you disappointed.

Hmm… Wondering about the snow conditions in France?

Well, now that can differ from resort to resort, but on the whole, France is known for its excellent quality of snow.

ITALY – THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY

Italy is yet another destination that provides excellent accommodation, the best ski resorts, and an adventurous apres-ski in a platter for ski lovers.

Italy, being an abode to some of the best views and cuisine in Europe, will never fail to impress you.

Livigno possesses the best apres ski and excellent bars for the families to enjoy and relax.

Cervina is linked with Zermatt and certainly, Italy’s highest resort placed at 2050m, has extensive and well-groomed slopes.

The gorgeous ski resorts of Italy stretch from the Alps to the Dolomites.

And by the way, if you haven’t hit upon the Dolomites, I bet you will be bowled over by the astonishing vista of the Alps.

The steep limestone is a heaven’s view in both dawn and dusk.

The sunlight in tandem with porphyry – huge rock crystals embedded in the limestones, produces beautiful shades of red and pink, a sight to behold.

Italian’s are quite laid back when compared to their neighboring countries. So, if you are looking for a relaxed and low-key ski affair with family, Italy might be your best bet.

Though ski resorts in Italy are promoted as being sunlit, most of the ski resorts are known to have ample snow records and excellent quality pistes.

GERMANY – THE LAND OF POETS AND THINKERS

If you’re wondering if you will ever get a chance to enjoy an economical and inexpensive ski holiday destination, then Germany is your answer.

Germany is not just famous for its beer and historic cities, but also a secret winter hideout, ideal for those who want a calm and serene ski experience.

It is a perfect mix of Bavarian hospitality and modern infrastructure. It comes with less crowded pistes and great apres-ski, it proves to be a true value for money.

You can be guaranteed of short transfer time of just around 1.5 hours to most of the major ski resorts from the key international airports, including Munich.

You might not find vast ski areas and wild party zones, but you can be assured to get your slice of the Apline pleasure similar to that of Austria – at an affordable price.

The largest ski resort in Germany is Garmisch-Partenkirchen and has a transfer time of just one hour from Munich.

The resort is surrounded by three impressive snow-laden mountains – Alpspitze,

Hausberg, and Kreuzeck.

It provides 60 Km of piste stretching between Zugspitze and Classic Area.

The two villages of Garmisch and Partenkirchen joined hands for the 1936 Winter Olympics and have been the go-to destination of German skiers ever since.

Ruhpolding is yet another renowned ski resort in Germany. It comprises three ski areas namely the Westernberg, Unternberg, and Maiergschwendt.

The ski areas are compact and neat – perfect for rookies and families.

When it comes to food, traditional cuisine and stein beer are sure to warm you up for the day.

You can enjoy a sumptuous meal of veal, sausages, and potato dumplings served in traditional wooden platters.

SWITZERLAND – THE PLAYGROUND OF EUROPE

If you are looking for an impressive landscape, adventurous skiing to get your adrenaline rush, and a feel of the traditional Alpine villages, Switzerland should be your ultimate ski destination.

Swiss Alps are prominent and striking than most other ski areas.

The Victorian-style hotels, gorgeous restaurants, and pleasant cafes carry the tradition and authenticity of the Swiss culture and style.

The elegant resorts of La Tzoumaz, Thyon, La Tzoumaz, Verbier, and Nendaz form the four valleys that hold over 400 km of pistes.

Switzerland is a place of elite and exemplary things, not to mention the cheese, wine, and chocolates it is celebrated for.

You’re sure to enjoy the queue-free lifts and the incredible scenery.

So, with all the options mentioned above, I completely understand that choosing your ideal Ski destination can still be a daunting experience for a lot many.
