Malaysia is a unique tropical state located in Southeast Asia. Due to the fact that the country is territorially divided into two parts by the waters of the South China Sea – Western and Eastern, the culture and life of Malaysia are largely different.
The Federation of Malaysia is located in Southeast Asia, almost on the equator. The country consists of two parts: West Malaysia, and East Malaysia. West Malaysia is located in the southern part of the Malacca Peninsula, bordering Singapore in the south and Thailand in the north. East Malaysia is in the northern part of the island of Borneo, or as Indonesians prefer to call it, Kalimantan.
A third of the island of Borneo belongs to East Malaysia, which shares it to the north with Brunei and to the south and east with Indonesia. East Malaysia is divided into two regions, Sarawak and Sabah. The eastern and western parts of the country are separated by a nearly 600-kilometer expanse of the South China Sea. The country has a southern area of almost 330 square kilometers, and 63% of its territory is covered by jungle. Malaysia has 1,007 islands – thirty-eight of which are declared marine reserves. The largest islands are Pinang, Langkawi and Tioman.
The continental part, bordering Thailand and Singapore, is dominated by high technology and industrialization, the island of Borneo is dominated by unique flora and fauna, pristine coastal waters, and evergreen forests.
When to go?
Considering that Malaysia is located near the equator, it is a hot country with high humidity levels (75%), and the climatic changes are almost imperceptible.
On average, the year-round temperature in Malaysia does not fall below +27 ° C and sometimes reaches +32 ° C, the water temperature – +25 ° C. However, the country’s climate differs depending on when and in which part of Malaysia the vacation takes place.
From February to October, it is most pleasant to be in the eastern part of the country (Borneo Island). The air temperature does not exceed +26 ° C, and after sunset, there is a chill, when the thermometer arrow drops to +15 ° C. The rest of the time the holidays are spoiled by the rainy season, which usually lasts from November to February.
The western part of the country (Kuala Lumpur) is best from April to May or October to December.

Kenyir Lake
Tasik Kenyir (Lake Kenyir) is the largest artificial Lake Malaysia in Southeast Asia, an area of 260 km². It was created as a result of the construction of a dam of the largest hydroelectric power plant in Malaysia.

If you want to ride the cable car, have patience because a considerable amount of time will pass until you make the payment and take the escalator to the cable-car pedestal.

The capital of Malaysia was once the site of tin mines, but today, with its rapid development, Kuala Lumpur can delight tourists with a variety of interesting sights.
Langkawi
