Luxury Yacht Charters in the Caribbean

  • December 10, 2021
  • Jules

The Caribbean is a well known sailors’ playground and is popular with cruisers, sailors and yacht charters for very good reason. This glorious region boasts over 7,000 islands, coral reefs and tiny cays and it covers over 2,000 kilometres of the warm Caribbean Sea. It stretches from the northerly Bahamas right down to the islands of Trinidad & Tobago which sit just off the coast of Venezuela in South America. This means it is a perfect area to sail around and with so much to explore and hundreds of places to drop anchor – so rent a yacht in the Caribbean and see where your adventure will take you!

Not only is it the perfect place to sail but with calm lagoons and schools of tropical fish dancing beneath the surface, the Caribbean is also a divers’ and snorkelers’ paradise. We know that sailors also like to spend time fishing or diving so if you want to mix things up a bit the Caribbean is the place for you. There are also dozens of captivating wrecks for the more experienced divers and plenty of dive schools for first-timers.

Easterly trade winds and plenty of line-of- sight sailing (where you can see your destination) make for pleasant sailing in and around the Caribbean islands and the best time to visit is from December to April. (Hurricane season is generally from late July through to late October but can start or end earlier)

Although the Caribbean is famous for its perfect island scenes of secluded white sandy beaches with warm turquoise waters, swaying palms and colourful fish-filled reefs;  the truth is that there is so much more to it than this. You really should explore the islands themselves as each one has its own distinct personality and a rich culture; often a mix of local traditions and past colonial heritage.  There are spice markets in Grenada, carnival in Antigua, dancing and music in Jamaica and upmarket and sophisticated living in places such as the Virgin Islands. Each island also has its own type of scenery – from quaint villages and historic towns, turquoise lagoons and dramatic waterfalls,  towering volcanoes and lush coffee plantations, vibrant marinas and secluded coves and much, much more.

If you really want to experience luxury in the Caribbean then perhaps you should think about a luxury yacht charter. This will give you the best possible experience whilst in the Caribbean – truly there is no finer way to explore this region of stunning winter destinations than by luxury yacht. If you charter a luxury yacht then your crew will work hard to ensure that your Caribbean vacation exceeds all expectations, promising unparalleled comfort to you and your party whilst catering to your every wish and whim with equal parts professionalism and charm. It will truly be a vacation to remember and I don’t think it can be beaten if you are looking for sunshine, culture, relaxation, beautiful scenery, 5 star luxury and of course the most beautiful waters in the world.
