Fun Ways to Display Your Travel Photos at Home

  • March 16, 2021
  • Jules

As any vacationer knows, coming home is never quite as much fun as leaving for the vacation. However, what is fun is being able to enjoy photos of your vacation. Moreover, being able to share them with others in fun ways that do not involve forcing people to sit down and watch a slideshow can help you keep a conversation going while you recall your time in paradise.

Even more important than capturing the destination of your travel photos is the ability to capture the memories of the people with whom you travelled. Being able to display your memories of loved ones or even new friends you made while travelling can help you weather the distance until you get to head back out on the trail with your camera in hand.

1. Aluminum

Whenever you print your travel photos, it often seems as if regular photo paper is not quite as professional as it should be. In the instances when you want a truly unique photo display, you can have them printed on aluminum for a professional finish that will turn any wall into your own personal art gallery.

The aluminum can be high or moderate sheen, and it is durable. More than anything, it captures colors in a reflective way that truly makes your memories shine.

2. State shapes

A map that contains all your photos cut into the shapes of the states you have visited is a unique way to display your photos, as seen online. However, it is also a way to spur you on to greater vacations because the empty spaces will beckon for you to travel and take more photos. Additionally, knowing your photos will end up in the shape of a particular state can help you plan your photos. For instance, if you are visiting the Midwest, you can take your photo in a corn field. If you are traveling east, you can make sure to capture matching ocean shots in order to make the entire coast one beautiful beach.

3. Custom puzzles

Piecing together your travel photos is an excellent way to enjoy some time with a loved one. However, when you get the puzzle completely put together, you can either shake it up and place it back in the box or glaze it and frame it as a photo. In whatever way you want to enjoy your travel memories, a custom puzzle makes for a unique photo display. Because the puzzles are affordable as well as unique and beautiful, you can have several printed and create an entire game collection of your best shots.

These custom puzzles consist of standard puzzle pieces, and the matte finish creates a professional finish that rivals any other type of jigsaw puzzle. Additionally, you can create puzzles for children by selecting a 100-piece or 200-piece option, or you can create a true challenge by opting for the 1000-piece puzzle. Of course, a puzzle with a high piece count will result in a photo of significant size, making anything larger than 600 pieces truly magnificent.

4. Picture books

Having your photos printed in a picture book allows you to display your photos on your coffee table. Because the photobook is professionally printed on book-quality paper, your memories become a tasteful decoration for any living room. Because the books can have as many pages as you like, you can leave the book open to a new page every day.

The photo books can vary in size. Consequently, you can get one large enough to serve as a centerpiece for your room or any conversation. As you enjoy friends over for wine or a movie, your memories will certainly lead to flipping through the book as people begin asking where they can get a book of their own.

5. Glass

The only thing better than printing on aluminum is printing on glass. With photos printed on glass, your memories will shine in the most unique and amazing way as the glass captures light and casts it back through the image. Moreover, if you opt for a panoramic photo, the result will be a scene almost as breathtaking as the actual view. In terms of photo quality, the brilliance and contrast in each photo will leave everyone gasping at the display as well as the destination on display.

6. Phone case

Since you are always on your phone, you might as well have your travel photos printed on your phone case. Doing so will make for a private and personal way to relive your favorite travel memories as you dial up a friend or family member. Moreover, the photo cases help protect your phone from drops.

7. Candle prints

Printing your travel pictures on a label for scented candles is the perfect way to recreate the romance or ambience of certain memories. For example, a seashore picture printed across an ocean-scented candle will invoke the memory in a powerful way as smell can elicit a memory. Similarly, a rose-scented candle printed with a picture of you in a tropical garden can help you relive your days walking and holding hands. Of all the ways to display your memories, this is one that ranks right up there with a customized puzzle in terms of interactivity.
