Meaning Bay lake Tower, Boulder Ridge, Copper Creek, The Animal Kingdom Villas, The Boardwalk Villas, Old Key West Resort, Polynesian Villas, Rivera Resort and Saratoga Springs are open.
However, Disney’s Grand Californian hotel and spa and Aulani are currently closed. They are due to re-open gradually in November with heightened restrictions.
Meanwhile, the Downtown Disney District is fully open with all the shops and food stops like Tortilla Joe’s you love. They just have enhanced health and safety measures like social distancing and enforced mask rules which have been implemented to keep you and your family safe.
And temperature screenings are to take place near the entrance of every sit-down restaurant at Disney Resort Hotels, to reduce the risk of possible infection. Housekeeping and recreation have been given social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines to keep you and the cast members safe.

Due to the current situation, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability. They will also despite these changes offer the same exciting experience and be cheaper on the Disney vacation club resale market.
So you can still experience breathtaking boulder ridge or see wild animals freely roam at the Animal Kingdom Villas, just with a few more safety precautions at a far cheaper price.
Ticket sales for 2020 have resumed, as have Disney vacation Club resales here, as the park has successfully managed the Pandemic and kept their hotels safe.
Members and Guests can now purchase new tickets at DisneyWorld.com and plan future visits throughout this year with the Disney Park Pass system, used to help manage attendance during this reopening period.

They’ve even put plenty of events online, like the magical virtual tour of Disneyland they helped promote back in March, to allow their fans to remotely experience the park. Showing their commitment to letting people experience that iconic Disney magic, in a safe and secure way.
With the rise of VR and the current pandemic, the remote and virtual theatrical experience is something that I’m sure we will see Disney develop as a brand into the future.
Virtual reality is, therefore, a foray we may even see Disney park hotels venture into in the future as certain Disney rides have already implemented the technology. Imagine...a VR Disney hotel!! My mind is going crazy imagining all the cool and creative possibilities that could come out of that.
