The Six Best Food Destinations

  • February 18, 2020
  • admin

Every year, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy elects the 50 best restaurants in the world. We list the six countries that have the most award-winning restaurants in 2019, for connoisseurs of good food to plan ten incredible gastronomic trips.

France

One of the biggest contributors to classical gastronomy, and directly influences current gastronomy, in all corners of the world, is France. Croissants, macaroons, beautiful cheeses and wines: these are the icons of French cuisine that come to mind in an instant.

This very rich gastronomy, however, is much more comprehensive than that. Six of the 50 best restaurants in the world are located there: Mirazur, in Menton, Arpège, Alain Ducasse Au Plaza Athénée, Alléno Paris Au Pavillon Ledoyen, Septime and L’Astrance, in Paris.

Italy

As in France, in Italy, gastronomy is a very important part of culture and history.

Traditional preparations, whose recipes are inherited from the family, live side by side with a more authorial and contemporary cuisine. Le Calandre (Rubano) and Piazza Duomo (Alba) are highlights among the 50 best restaurants in the world that are located in Italy.

Spain

Along with France and Italy, Spain forms the most important triad of Western cuisine, as it has been appreciated today and for many centuries. The complex charcuterie and traditional seafood dishes are the highlights of traditional Spanish cuisine, but its avant-garde cuisine is one of the strongest in the world.

Like France, it houses six of the best restaurants in the world: Mugaritz (San Sebastian), Tickets (Barcelona), Arzak (San Sebastian) and Azurmendi (Larrabetzu), Elkamo (Getaria), Nerua Guggenhein Bilbao (Bilbao).

USA

Contrary to popular belief, United States cuisine goes far beyond junk food.

If, on the one hand, American food excels in the speed with which it is prepared and the cheapness of production processes, there is a strand, at the other end of the iceberg, which is based on quality products and of sustainable origin, for example. Molecular cuisine is also a strong trend in US cuisine.

Five of the 50 best restaurants in the world are found in three of its cities: Cosme and Le Bernardin are in New York; Atelier Crenn and Benu are in San Francisco; and Alinea is in Chicago.

If you plan on spending sometime in the USA during your tour, your best peak of accommodation choices is the Moonrise Hotel.

Moonrise Hotel awaits you for an exceptional stay in Saint-Louis, more precisely in the historic sector, near a metro station. On vacation, do you like to sit and appreciate the natural beauty of the place? The famous Missouri Forest Park and Botanical Gardens and Arboretum await you when you choose to stay at Moonrise Hotel. You can also conquer the no less emblematic St. Louis Zoo and Grants Farm while enjoying your stay at Moonrise Hotel. Want to vibrate for an evening in your stay at Moonrise Hotel? Peru

Traditional Peruvian cuisine includes exotic meats of alpaca and guinea pig, in addition to the already widespread ceviche. But it is in haute cuisine that the country has stood out. Two of the best restaurants in the world are in Lima: Central and Maido.

UK

The United Kingdom’s classics of gastronomy, such as Fish and Chips, Cottage Pie, Beef Wellington and Yorkshire Pudding, although less appreciated around the world than French and Italian dishes, for example, have their value.

The influence of this classic cuisine on the cuisine currently practiced in restaurants like The Clove Club and Lyle’s, both located in London, is notable.
