India is becoming increasingly popular with tourists and there’s a good reason for that. With plenty to see and something to suit everyone’s tastes there’s a lot to explore in India, if you need some inspiration then this A- Z of India should help spark some ideas! The best time to visit India is normally between October – March so it can be the perfect place to escape to during the colder months we have over in the UK! If you needed any convincing that India might make the perfect destination, then below are some of the reasons you should visit.

The Food

With a huge range of food on offer in India, there’s plenty to enjoy. You might struggle to find your familiar favourite English Indian inspired dishes such as Rogan josh and chicken tikka masala buth there are plenty of delicious regional dishes to be discovered. Some popular dishes in the North include Dal, Korma and Saag paneer. Tandoors are also popular in the North, which give naan bread and tandoori chicken their distinctive flavours.

The Famous Buildings

The iconic building, the Taj Mahal probably springs to mind when you think of India, with over seven million people visiting the unmissable attraction. However, there are plenty of other must-see buildings, so do some research into the area you’re thinking of visiting and you’ll be sure to find plenty of impressive buildings!

The Wildlife

Whilst you might associate South Africa with seeing exotic wildlife, India has a lot to offer too. The country has many national parks where visitors can see tigers, elephants, Rhinos and hawk eagles. Some of the national parks to visit include Pench, Kanha, and Ranthambore so if you’re up for some exploring the wilder side to India then a trip to one of the parks could be the ideal break for you.

The Golden Triangle

A great way to visit some of the highlights India has to offer, is the Golden Triangle. Including the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur meaning you get to experience culture, architecture and fascinating cuisine across three exciting yet different cities. There’s easy access between all three cities with rail and road options, so you’ll be able to travel easily between your destinations. When it comes to organising luxury India holidays, brands such as Abercrombie & Kent can help put together your perfect package. Having help when it comes to planning your trip means you don’t have to worry about trying to organise every little thing.
