Instagram has set alight the world of travel and lifestyle adoration. No longer bound by what travel companies or resorts want to promote, real people have become the visual explorers of exotic lands, filing photographic reports on desirable destinations across the globe.
It’s not just as simple as travelling the world however. These Instagram-famous bloggers need something different to set them apart, to portray a side of life that one can’t find every day. The key to success is positivity, living a life less ordinary and having an adventurous personality. So, who better to tick all those boxes and become an international Like-magnet than your very own pup?
If you’ve been wondering what would happen if your dog had an Instagram account then wonder no longer, as Canine Cottages have created this illustrated version of what your hound’s Instagram account might look like.
The adventures would start out with a trip somewhere photo-worthy, like Italy. With the proud pooch packing everything he needed for the trip, making sure not to forget his passport or soft travel bed, he’d be ready to go.
Taking in the joys of Rome would be perfect for any snap-happy hound. He could take a tintamarresque photo as the Capitoline wolf and frolic around the Forum all day, so long as he didn’t mix up the many ancient pillars and columns for an abundance of public toilets!
After the Eternal City, a trip to see the delights of northern Italy would have your canine friend take to the canals and be ferried in luxury through the historic waterways of Venice by a hard-working gondolier. After that he could take in the Duomo and put a paw in the lucky hole in the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele in super-fashionable Milan.
While it may seem like the glamorous lives of Instagram stars involves constantly hopping from one destination to the next however, the real bread and butter of a carefully curated account involves making the most of those sights which are close to home. Not that that should be any problem for your intrepid pup, considering that some of the most beautiful scenes in the country are also very dog-friendly.
A beach such as Porthcurno, with its Caribbean-like azure seas is the perfect destination for any canine to take the perfect “hot dog legs” shot. While out in west Cornwall he could also grab some pics at the stunning St. Michael’s Mount, racing around the gorgeous green and harbour before splashing back across the causeway before the tide takes it over.
Another fabulous West Country destination for four-legged adventures is Dartmoor National Park. With the wild scenery perfect for rugged country shots, the whole park is like a big doggy playground. It’ll certainly be hard to get him to get him to settle for any lesser park after a day out there.
Becoming an Instagram superstar isn’t easy, but the job might be easier with four legs than two. Everyone loves a cute dog on their travels so why not hand over your phone to your own best friend and see how they got on. By the looks of this artist’s impression it wouldn’t turn out too badly at all.
