What are the best mobile deals for travelling?

When you want to go travelling or book a nice holiday, the last thing you want to do is come back to a massive bill for data usage. Many mobile providers now give deals on data, but you can still never be really sure. With messaging apps like Whatsapp, Skype and also iMessage & FaceTime which is native to the iPhone, it is quite unlikely that you will need to use many actual texts or calls when you are abroad. Data only sims could even be a good idea if you are at home, especially if you mostly use your phone to browse the internet and use messaging or calling applications that work over 3G or 4G or WiFi. If you are looking for the best deal on a data only sim for any reason, you may consider using comparison website like Broadband Choices. The good thing about this is that you can select your own options using filters and only be left with the result that are going to be beneficial to you. It is really helpful in finding the best mobile deals. You may also wish to consider these deals from top mobile providers.

 EE Multi Sim

Since EE was created by the merger between T-Mobile and Orange, they have been more or less leaders in the data market. They have a number of different deals which give you data only, ranging from £28.00 a month upwards for 30GB of data. You can also use this data in other countries to save getting extra roaming charges, but you will need to check on their website to make sure the country you are going to is covered. Another great thing is that you can get a deal on this for one month only, so if you are going away somewhere you can just get this as a one off to avoid costly data charges on your existing plan. There are currently no one of charges incurred for the EE multi sim. If you have an existing contract with EE, then you may be able to call them and see if you are entitled to any deals or offers for this – or even if there is any way you could add on this data at this price to your existing sim without having to use a different one.

Multi Sim

The 3 multi sim deal is very similar to the EE one, however the big difference is you are able to get a lower price by having a lot less data. The minimum amount for the 3 multi sim is 2gb for £8, so if you want a data only sim but you still do not use a considerable amount of data, this may be the best choice for you. On their multi sim deal, 3 also offer the opportunity to get a one month contract, and this is 15GB for £20.00. This can end up being a great deal if you are going away for a couple of weeks and you think you might use up a fair bit of data.

iD Multi Sim

iD are not a well known mobile service provider, but they do have a great little data only sim deal. For £7.50 per month you can get 2GB of data. This is a great price if you already have a contract that you cannot get out of, but you need some more data. This could also work really well if you travel a lot for work, as you could have this sim on standby for any work trips you may need to take. There are currently no upfront costs to get an iD sim card, and there are a few different options similar to 3 and EE. the largest package they do is 15gb per month for £25.00, which is just a touch slightly more expensive than the offer on the same amount of GB from 3. There are currently no upfront charges for getting one of these, and if you give 3 a call you may be able to get a better deal as an existing customer. Another thing it is worth asking is if you can add one of these deals at the same price to your existing sim.
