6 Travel Getaways for Art and Culture Lovers

  • September 18, 2015
  • admin

One of the best reasons to travel is to explore the world around you. There is so much to see and do, especially when you visit a location that offers something different – something about their culture, their art, and their surroundings that lets you learn more about how incredible the people on this planet really are, and how much they have to offer.

When considering your travel plans, perhaps you’d like to visit a place known for its art and culture, so you can explore the country and experience more of the world around you.

  • Florence, Italy

One of the most culturally rich cities in Italy and the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is an incredible place for history, culture, and of course a rich artistic community. It has grown from being known not only as a traditional arts center, but a place for exploring other artistic endeavors, like fashion.

  • Cairo, Egypt

The largest city in the entire Middle East and filled with Islamic architecture, Cairo is perhaps one of the least well known culturally rich big cities in the world. It has art, music, history, and – for those that want to do more than just art exhibits – a nightlife that has been compared favorably to New York, Tel Aviv, Las Vegas, and other popular tourist destinations.

  • Jerusalem, Israel

Speaking of Tel Aviv, just a short drive away is Jerusalem, which is perhaps the world’s cultural center and the origin of many of the world’s religions. In addition to culture, Jerusalem is filled with art, both modern and historical, and the architecture is bound to impress. You can also fly into Jerusalem with ease on a luxurious private jet charter with evoJets.

  • New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

In the United States, there is almost nowhere better than New Orleans. Home to some of the world’s most famous artists, music, and performers, New Orleans has a rich history and plenty to do, making it a great place to visit for fans of cultural experiences.

  • Mexico City, Mexico

Mexico City is an enormous city, with over 8 million residents and very popular tourism experiences. It has been through a variety of regime and cultural changes, and was always the hub throughout, causing it to be influenced by a variety of distinctly different cultures. Mexico City is filled with art, and because it’s such a large city your days and nights will never be without activities.

  • Prague, Czech Republic

The home of artistic revolutionaries like Kafka, Prague has remained one of the largest and most extensive art and cultural centers in Europe for hundreds of years, and still hosts multiple cultural events. If you want to see a true artist community in an underrated city, Prague is the location for you.

Travel is always about getting an experience that you can’t get at home. For many, that’s relaxation, or adventure, or food. For others, art and culture are the primary draws, and you cannot go wrong with the above list of amazing travel destinations for art and culture lovers.
