Guide To Canada

  • March 11, 2014
  • Jules

Visiting Canada is a truly exciting prospect – it’ll offer you new insight into new cultures and, most importantly, the country is absolutely beautiful to behold. There is a plethora of things to do whilst you’re exploring this new land – from seeking out boutiques in Victoria BC, to traversing the wild outdoors with the Niagara Falls. Canada has it all. Fortunately for you, we’ve compiled a top five list of destinations to visit, so you don’t miss anything off when you make your way there:

  • Canada’s Wonderland

If you’re travelling to Canada with the kids, this should be your first port of call. This 330-acre plot in Ontario will keep the entire family entertained for the whole day, so make sure you clear your schedule for this one. The range of amusements is huge: there are ‘thrill rides’ for those who like to taste a little adventure, and there’s plenty to do for the really little ones in your group – we dare you not to have an awesome day. Plan in advance and save money on your tickets!

  • Canadian Rockies

For a bit of a change of scenery, get back to wildlife with the impeccable Canadian Rockies. Comprised of the Canadian side of the North American Rocky Mountains. The views are quite literally to die for; once you’ve seen these, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything to top it in the future. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and clothes that are suitable for changeable climates – you want to make sure you’re in the best position to enjoy this beautiful site.

  • Niagara Falls

Now, who can visit Canada without a visit to the aforementioned Niagara Falls? Do we really need to even explain this one? Everyone knows of the Niagara Falls – an utterly epic array of three conjoining waterfalls that lie between the border of Canada and the United States. Did you know that they bordered onto the state of New York? You might want to wear a hood – who knows what could happen on your trip?

  • CN Tower

Coming closer to the modern world, you might want to head to Toronto at some stage, to visit the colossal CN Tower. The tower reaches a crazy 553 metres and is in fact the tallest building in the entire world! This will make the perfect addition to your holiday snaps, will you be brave enough to go up to the SkyPod – where you can see, on days of good weather, up to 100 miles away from the tower’s location – across to even New York State? This isn’t one for the faint-hearted, but you’re sure not going to forget it in a hurry!

  • Royal Ontario Museum

If you need to get out of the sun for the afternoon, wander over to Toronto to visit the Royal Ontario museum, where you can view artefacts that over one million visitors flock to see each year. Make sure you plan ahead as these places often have bizarre opening times: you don’t want to miss out!
