Are you planning a vacation or a business trip to Bangalore? Don’t worry about accommodation; there are so many options for you to stay while you’re in Bangalore: it’s a truly a hospitable city.

And who says that you need to shell out a fortune for a comfortable and luxurious stay at Bangalore? There’s no shortage of hotels, hence you’ll be spoilt for a choice. There are a host of affordable 3 star hotels in Bangalore to suit travelers on a budget. If you are out on a business trip or to discuss a project, there are a whole lot of affordable business hotels in Bangalore where you can accommodate yourself and your colleagues.

Once you are done with your assignment, it would be great if you could take some time off your busy schedule and explore places nearby Bangalore. And if it’s a weekend trip, then well, I have some ideas for you to make the most of your weekend.

Mysore

Mysore is a land of affluent palaces and heritage buildings. It has more of an old-world charm when compared to Bangalore’s cosmopolitan atmosphere. A short driving distance from the city of Bangalore, Mysore is an ideal getaway for travelers.  This magnificent palace welcomes over 2,500 visitors every month. Your trip to Mysore would not be complete without a trip to the Mysore Zoo, Brindavan Gardens, and Chamundeshwari temple. On your way, you could also visit the Balmuri waterfalls and Srirangapatnam.

Coorg

Coorg is well known for its dense forests, lush orange, fragrant honey and vast coffee plantations. The view from the mountains here, especially during monsoons, is unreal. Bylakuppe is another attraction you must visit. It is home to beautiful a Golden Temple that features huge golden statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha, as well as Avalokitesvara and Padmasambhava.

Ooty

Ooty is 296 km from Bangalore, located in the Nilgiris region of Tamil Nadu. Ooty is an ideal vacation spot owing to its delightful cottages and tea estates on the hills. Winters can get really chilly at times as the temperature here ranges from between 5°c and 21°c.

Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal is located at a height of 2133 meters above sea level on Palani Hills in Tamil Nadu. Located 405 km from Bangalore, Kodaikanal is a photographer’s delight. During the winter, temperatures often drop to freezing levels. It is most famous for its scenic beauty, green mountains, waterfalls and lakes. A boat ride in Kodai Lake can be mystique, you could also enjoy horse-riding there.

Goa

Last but not least, Goa!!! No better option for a quick weekend getaway than this! Rocking parties and entertainment take place all year around. Monsoon is a favorable time as airfare and hotel bookings in Goa are cheaper during this time. Also, fewer tourists opt to visit Goa in the monsoon season, hence it’s less crowded. The beaches look marvelous during the rains, while the scenic beauty captivates you with its charm. By all means, Goa is a land of all seasons.
