Tourism and vacations in Florida is hardly news. It boasts the most visited theme parks in the entire world to make a perfect vacation for kids and families, and a climate that allows for travel nearly anytime of the year. What many people fail to notice is the fact that with a Florida vacation there is no need to choose between a genre vacation as so many things are available and easily combined.
While Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and Busch Gardens may headline the family picks, golf and world class fishing is readily available each place as well. That is only the tip of the iceberg. Beaches on both coasts offer more family fun. Wilderness tours complete with alligators and snakes from an airboat or kayak in the everglades are readily available.
If the younger college crowds at Daytona Beach or family beaches at Clearwater are not what you are looking for then the more sophisticated and upscale Palm Beach or quieter beaches at Sanibel Island and Captiva may be your ideal choice. If you want the same climate and attitude of a Caribbean Island but do not want to deal with customs and passports go to the southern islands in the Florida Keys and you can find private beach bungalows.
The thing that makes Florida unique is not the activities you find there so much as that you can find all of the activities there. It is a destination where in a single vacation you can do things that interest even the most different personalities in a family and cater to kids of all ages while still finding plenty for the adults to enjoy so they have a vacation as well.
The only thing you will be short of in Florid is time. There are simply too many things to do to do them all in a single vacation. It is easy to do different things every day but even on a 10 day vacations your days will run out long before the activities. Taking some time to decide which interests to cater to on the trip will save stress when you get there. During peak seasons some advice from travel agents or local tourist boards will make it easier to plan your Florida holidays.
Remember when planning the different activities to take advantage of in Florida- it is a long state. Driving from one end to the other is an all-day affair so you would be advised to plan stops in sequence to minimize travel time between destinations.
