A Disney Cruise is the perfect family holiday

  • October 17, 2012

Every person has dreamed of a Disney holiday. What better than the chance to meet your favourite Disney characters in a beautiful hot country? The theme parks and attractions will keep your children happy, but for a different holiday that everyone will enjoy you should look into Disney Cruises – combining all the fun of Disney with an adventure on the seas.

Magical attractions, eye opening excursions, onboard adventure and exotic locations mean fun for all the family. Disney launches its first Miami Cruise in December 2012, so you could be getting away on a family holiday of a lifetime sooner than you think.

If it’s exotic locations that excite you, then the prospect of either the Bahamas Cruise or the Caribbean Cruise will not disappoint.

Depending on the itinerary that you choose, Disney Cruise Line ports of call include St. Maarten, St. Thomas/St. John US Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. With two stops and two days at sea, you’ll be able to enjoy the luxury ocean liners while seeing the sights of some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful locations.

Disney Cruise Line ships are a grand homage to the ocean liners of the past, so you can expect luxurious fixtures and fittings across decks. Disney songs are played throughout the ship, and characters like Mickey will be waiting to greet you.

In terms of on board entertainment, your imagination is the limit. Think original Disney Musical shows, Broadway-quality spectaculars, youth clubs and activities to keep the children happy, plus an array of pools and waterslides.

You can combine your Disney Cruise from Miami with a stay in the exotic and glamorous South Florida city itself. Shop ‘til you drop along Miami’s glitzy shopping malls, or catch a tan on the palm tree-lined Miami Beach.

Alternatively, you could decide to take a cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida’s Space Coast, and combine your trip with a visit to Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort.

However long or short you want to make your trip to the Disney theme parks, there are Disney tickets that are right for you. Scream on Space Mountain. Take a white-knuckle ride through the Wild West aboard the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And finally, get a taste for the cruise that awaits you with a journey on board the Liberty Square Riverboat that will take you on a tour of the park.

Disney Cruise Line Holidays are a place where both parents and children can share the fun.
