Maui
This island is the second most popular tourist destination in Hawaii. Maui is famous for its picturesque beaches and for its tranquil atmosphere. From Oahu or the Big Island you can get a boat or a flight to this island. It is definitely worth a trip, especially if you want to escape from civilisation for a bit! The west side of this island is filled with tropical rainforests and beautiful waterfalls. If you really want to be with nature, then a walk around these parts is a definite must.
The Big Island
Much like Oahu, this island has a lot of town houses and other types of accommodation for residents and tourists to rent. Companies have many apartments and rooms to rent on this particular island, which is a great alternative if you want to beat expensive hotel prices. This island is home to the most active volcano in the world. However, there are some luscious green parts to this island as it rains quite regularly here as well as having a lot of sunshine.
Kauai
Many tourists of this island has described Kauai as having spectacular scenery and a great personality. Much like Maui, this island has secluded beaches where you can relax and be at one with nature. The northern part of the island is mountainous, which is a great place to go if you are an enthusiastic hiker! For those of you who love the water, than Kauai offers some great surfing and snorkelling opportunities.
