Exciting Vietnam Holiday and Travel Guide

  • February 18, 2011

Vietnam is the hidden jewel of South-East Asia. Overlooked for many years Vietnam is now becoming a vacation destination for many travelers. With breathtaking mountains that rise out of the northern region and its south permeated by flat low lying deltas Vietnam posses a diverse topography.

Its capital Hanoi is the second largest city in the country. It is extremely vibrant everywhere so you can be sure that you will not be bored there. However, do not forget to visit the Old Quarter, the French Quarter, and the Hoan Kiem lake area. For those of you who enjoy understanding the country’s history and culture, Hanoi will be a good spot to explore.

Vung Tau in Vietnam is one of the many beaches that are filled with tourists and locals who are out to have fun and enjoy the tropical weather of Vietnam. Whether it’s visiting the historical sites or tropical beaches, Vietnam is the country to visit. You will be left with a great experience and be part of the true Vietnam adventure!

Our family loved the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in the center of the city. It was a gorgeous structure and very rich with history. The beautifully preserved body of “Uncle Ho” as he is often called, rests peacefully in the mausoleum for all to see. The adjoining museum is a nice place to visit that has plenty of historical things to see that many have never seen. Anyone wanting to know more of Vietnam culture should visit the museum while in Ho Chi Minh.

Follow these tips and you’ll leave Hoi An with custom new clothes, some jewelry, maybe a few recipes up your sleeve, and memories of a Vietnam adventure that will last a lifetime.
