If you had planned a spot of naked hiking on your next visit to the Swiss Alps, then be warned! Anybody found wandering in the Appenzell Innerrhoden area of the Alps naked will be fined.
Locals are annoyed at the increased number of hikers that tackle the mountains whilst exposed and voted overwhelmingly for the new rules. If the sheer cold doesn’t get you first then the new fine of $175 certainly will.
Despite all the furore that the subject of ‘inappropriate’ naked hiking in Switzerland has caused recently, nobody has actually admitted to seeing a bare hiker. Appenzell Innerrhoden in Switzerland may have taken the decision to prevent the area from becoming a naked hiking Mecca.
So is this all fuss over nothing? What do you think?
