Mont Tremblant, Canada
Located in Quebec, Canada, Mont Tremblant can be found in the Laurentian Mountains. It combines elements of other snowboarding resorts, such as the Steamboat resort in Colorado, the Panorama resort located in Alberta and British Columbia’s Whistler resort. Mont Tremblant is equipped with all mod cons and leisure facilities including cosy coffee shops, quaint bistros, classy wine bars, traditional fondue restaurants, as well as quality French and Asian restaurants.
Mont Tremblant is known for being Eastern North America’s largest resort, popular for all wintersports activities such as exciting skiing and snowboarding. Exciting activities take place all year long, making Mont Tremblant the most diverse resort, in addition to being the biggest. There are many outdoor events held here during the summer. The Tremblant’s Summer Festival takes place every year from June until October. There is also an event called Music in the Mountain and a festival of blues music. Every July, Mont Tremblant holds the Beachfest. Every August they present Tremblant beneath the stars. A show called Symphony of Colours takes place every September.

Located in Veneto-Dolomites, Italy the Folgaria and Jurassik Snowboarding Park is well known for its many rolling hills that snowboarders can practice on. It is a very simple and laid back environment, perfect for anyone who wants to learn snowboarding or polish their skills. They have the following five rails for snowboarders to enjoy: double straight tubes, single straight tubes, pyramid, rainbow and king. They also have small jumps, a middle jump and a trio of fun boxes.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Canada
Located close to a town called Golden, Kicking Horse, Canada in British Columbia is a popular snowboarding destination. Many snowboarders visit here to engage in some freeriding. Visitors will have several different choices of ridges and cliffs that are the perfect place for snowboarding. Many marked runs off-piste can be found here. And for those boarders seeking a thrilling challenge, did you know that kicking Horse has the fourth highest vertical drop within the USA? Standing at a mighty 4,133 feet this is one mighty drop!
Chamonix, France
Located in France, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is known among snowboarders as the “cradle” of climbing. Located in eastern France in the Rhône-Alpes region, this exciting destination provides snowboarders with some of the most challenging slopes in the world. The two areas of Chamonix that are the most frequently visited are La Flegere and Brevant. Here, snowboarders will find both complicated ski runs and laid back ski runs, making it the perfect destination no matter which extreme a visitor chooses. Experienced snowboarders often go to the Grands Montets in Argentiere’s. The Grands Montets is known to have some of the best snowboarding anywhere in Europe. And did you know that Chamonix hosted the very first Winter Olympics in 1924?
Snowboard Crested Butte, USA
The Snowboard Crested Butte boasts an interesting terrain which includes many cliff jumps and boulders. Located in Colorado, Crested Butte is often hailed as the ‘best snowboarding in the USA’ – high praise indeed! There are many steep runs and vertical drops that delight snowboarders looking for a rush of adrenaline. In total, this destination has 85 runs. Due to its vast types of terrain, the Snowboard Crested Butte has previously hosted the U.S. Extreme Snowboarding Championships.
Grand Targhee, USA
The Grand Targhee resort in Alta, Wyoming features outdoor spas, heated pools and other resort luxuries. It is located at the bottom of the Tetons in the stunningly beautiful Caribou-Targhee National Forest. This is a resort that is well suited for families. Other activities at this resort include cross country skiing, ice skating and paragliding. The resort is very spacious and beautiful.
Snowboard Snowbird, USA
The Snowboard Snowbird resort is 11,000 feet off the ground in Utah in the USA. Due to the steep angles of the slopes, this resort receives about 500 inches of snow yearly. Its double black diamond runs are what make it a popular choice among snowboarders. Until 2008, this resort only had natural terrain but now has a superpipe known as Zaugg.
