Lisbon is widely known as the capital city of Portugal. While many people preliminarily understand that this city hosts numerous attractions, they most often underestimate them. The scope and quality of those may impress. This review confirms the point, providing a long list of attractions to see in Lisbon.

However, before you start your journey across the city, make sure you have planned your route. Depending on the chosen destinations, it may require moving often between locations. There are several points to think about in advance. First, figure out the most convenient transportation options from one location to another.     • Castle of Saō Jorge. You may view it from almost all of Lisbon’s corners. Still, when you reserve enough time and effort to climb it, you may enjoy truly unparalleled, panoramic city views. This 10th-century fortress has a long history full of interesting facts and legends. So, don’t miss an opportunity to join one of the guided tours. 
    • Jeronimos Monastery. The overall appearance of this place will take your breath away. For this reason, this monastery was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Besides that, it’s located near the river; thus, you will have numerous opportunities to take splendid pictures. 
    • Santa Justa Lift and Carmo Covent ruins. Get here as early as possible to avoid long waits since this spot is also unparalleled and attracts many tourists from different corners of the globe. The Santa Justa lift transports visitors up the hill, where they can explore the said ruins. No more spoilers, see it on your own.
    • Belém. It’s one of the most famous monuments in the city. There’s a museum located there that has the same name. It’s the famous Centro Cultural de Belém, where you can view fantastic works of art from Frances Bacon, Picasso, Andy Warhol, and more. The cafe with the same name is also fantastic, by the way, with delicious cuisine and superior city views.
    • Pink Street. It’s a perfect place to walk and is also a popular Instagram location. Once you come here, you may instantly realize why.     • Time Out Market. It’s a perfect place to have a bite. While Time Out Market is now available across the globe, it was first opened exactly in Lisbon. This massive building now hosts around 40 superb restaurants and 10 bars, as well as many shops. Visitors may also often enjoy numerous live music events there while tasting super delicious local cuisine.

Apart from the sunset, the sunrise there is no less amazing. Many people choose to have a short run or do exercises there. Walking there will help you fully immerse yourself in the local lifestyle.
    • Explore the oldest Lisbon neighborhood. It’s Alfama, one of the most powerful and vibrant locations. It’s a picturesque spot where tourists can see different old buildings and churches, as well as visit local restaurants and cafes. Having a chat with locals is a special experience that may help you discover many interesting things about Lisbon. 
    • Party all night long in Bairro Alto. It’s a bustling district where tourists can explore all of the attractions of the local nightlife.
