Chasing the French Dream: A Traveler’s Guide to France

  • September 18, 2023
  • Jules

France is magnificent, varied, and one of the best destinations in the world to enjoy a vacation. It includes elegant and remarkable landscapes, delicious food and drink, excellent climatic conditions, and an infested passion for culture, heritage, art, and tradition.

There is romance in the air of France, its language, and even the emotions of people. The French still value things that most people may get over with, such as work-life balance, enjoying food, and more. They are on holidays on Sundays and are happy with ugly veggies and fruits. They kiss hellos and are open to affection in public.

However, if you want to travel to France and enjoy a French holiday, then here are the top destinations to visit in France:

Best time to visit France

France is a renowned destination for Brits, Asians, and Americans. So, if you plan to visit France, especially for skiing and holidays, go to the south.

You can visit the North during summer to experience empty beaches and enjoy good weather. There are several fests and fetes across the nation during summer. Right from Bastille Day to Dunkirk Carnival, there are so many festivals to enjoy.

Normandy

The place is known for Normandy icons such as Joan of Arc and William the Conqueror. The place is famous for its rich cultural heritage and history with UNESCO’s Mont St Michel and Monet’s house. Some other places of attraction that you can choose to visit are La Manche, the white cliff of Etretat, the port of Honfleur, Trouville, and Deauville.

Paris

Of course, you know the city of Eiffel Tower. But, there’s more to it. From Notre Dame, Louvre, and Champs Elysees to Pont St Louis, you have a lot to explore. Walk through the elite cake shops, vintage stores, leafy cemeteries, graveled squares, canal banks, and art galleries to experience the best of Paris.

Alps

The French Alps are segregated into North and South. While the north houses ski resorts and is topped by Mont Blanc, the south includes arid vegetation. If you’re looking for some adventure, you should visit here for hiking, mountain biking, wellness activities, water sports, and more.

Atlantic coast

Stretching over 500 km, you can enjoy cycling, beaches, surfing, and a lot more here. Explore places like Ile-de-Re, St. Jean De Luz, Arcachon Bay, Cap Ferret, Dune de Pyla, La Rochelle, and Biarritz. There is so much you can do across the stretch to enjoy your holidays here.

Provence and Cote d’Azur

It is one of the most visited French regions, where you can enjoy visiting the villages, Cezzane, Van Gogh, and so much more. You can feel the sand on your toes, enjoy coffee in the cafes, and have some potent lavender smell around you. The place is quite a tourist location with crowded streets, but worth a visit.

These are some locations that you can visit in France. If you’ve always wanted to experience France in the most exquisite and local way, make your way through the local streets and enjoy its divine culture.
