Things to do in Paris

  • February 27, 2012

In today’s world, there is a growing population of enthusiastic travelers that hop over from one destination to another, exploring, discovering and living their idea of a great life full of adventures. While each one of them has a different list of places to explore, based both on budget and experiences – one destination remains common to all, Paris.

Paris is a favorite destination for people from all backgrounds, simply because not only is it romantic and full of rich history – it is also a city of astounding beauty, dexterity and depth. It has also played a muse & inspiration to many painters, sculptors, writers, poets, designers & a variety of other creative people. Of course, everyone knows it as an excellent honeymoon idea for its reputation as the city of lovers.

There are so many things to do in Paris for everyone; since it caters to people of all ages and personal interests. One can take a walk around the city and soak in the beautiful and charming architecture or simply just sit down and grab a cuppa at any of the many bustling street cafes. Get lost in one of the million bakeries, restaurants, art galleries, shopping centres and more.

Most first-time visitors prefer taking the Paris hop on hop off bus to gain an actual perspective and  a holistic view of the city. The bus picks you up and drops you at attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, the Louvre, St Germain, Pont-Neuf and more. The headphones given on the bus provide commentary in a variety of different languages. Even if you are short on time and can only visit a limited number of places – you can still pass by and notice the various places left over for the next trip.

While one day may not be enough, the proper way to truly explore and get the true Parisian experience is to do a full tour of what the city truly has to offer you. Try the macarons, sip the rich coffee, listen closely as the locals speak rapidly in French and indulge yourself with Paris’ temptations as the city invites and envelopes you in its charm, both night and day.
