The Bicycle Snake
This bridge across the harbour is a great place to ride for cyclists visiting Copenhagen. Seven metres above the harbour the bridge offers a fun ride over to Bryggebroen, another bike bridge crossing the harbour. Bringing you to the lovely Copenhagen islands.

The Colourful Houses
Of course, there is the famous Nyhavn at the water front with the lovely rows of crooked houses but there are other beautiful streets and houses to discover too. Being on a bike means you can make your way between these streets and take some Instagram worthy photos.
Sofiegade in Christianshavn is a particularly pretty and colourful crooked house. There is also the blue house in central Copenhagen Larsbjørnsstræde, and the tranquil streets of Gernersgade. Plenty of hidden gems to discover whilst exploring by bike.
Kalvebod Fælled
Cycle out to the island of Amager where you will find a lovely area of reclaimed seabed. There’s a nature centre and it is not uncommon to see deer, horses and ponies as well as the cows and sheep grazing.
There’s lots here for children to do so once you get here you can enjoy the whole day if you wish. Canoeing and swimming are great on summers days and there are play areas and equipment available to catch pond creatures too.
Superkilen Park
An urban open space in Nørrebro which is perfect for cycling and enjoying the atmosphere. The park is divided into three main areas which are colour coded. The Red Square, The Black Market and The Green Park.
Inspiration is taken from around the world and this is shown in the architecture and sculptures within the park. An American donut sign, picnic benches from Armenia and even a Thai Boxing ring. This urban park is definitely worth exploring by bike.
The Little Mermaid Statue
No visit to Copenhagen will be complete without seeing the mermaid sitting on her rock looking out to sea. You can ride out to the Langelinie area enjoying the harbour views and riding through the parks.
The statue is relatively small but is an icon for the city and the author of the original fairytale who lived here, Hans Christian Anderson.
Castles and Palaces
As well as a lovely laid-back café culture, there is also plenty of history to explore. Take your bike around the best sites within the city to make the most of your time. Rosenborg Castle at Øster Voldgade is a Dutch renaissance palace and gardens, which also houses the crown jewels.
There is also Christiansborg Palace and Charlottenborg Palace. Christianborg is currently the seat of Danish parliament and Charlottenborg is a former grand residence turned art museum.
Port of Copenhagen
This is the largest Danish seaport and one of the largest ports when it comes to ports in the Baltic Sea. The seafront is a lovely place to cycle, the views are stunning and there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy a coffee or a warm mug of chocolate.
