How can you use the Carole Nash Routes to Ride section to plan a road trip?

Planning a road trip can be a difficult experience – organisation, planning, spreading the news, and clearly defined destinations are all key factors contributing to a successful voyage. This is where the Carole Nash ‘Routes to Ride’ website is absolutely invaluable.

The ‘Routes to Ride’ site is more than a simple journey planner. It allows the user to locate some of the UK and Ireland’s most scenic and appealing routes via knowledge shared from many of those in the biking community – after all Carole Nash is a specialist in motorbike insurance and therefore privy to much insider knowledge.

Visit http://www.carolenash.com/insidebikes/routes-to-ride/ and select a location for your road trip. You’re then asked to specify a few other preferences such as difficulty ratings, length of journey, and natural geographical characteristics.

The database of routes will then present you with a short synopsis of a suggested journey and a visual map presentation of how it looks. There are numerous trips to choose from and once you find something that you consider ideal, you can click the Facebook or Twitter symbols for automatic sharing. This kind of instant knowledge sharing is one of the big plus points of the information age, giving us access to information that may have in the past remained locked away other than by word of mouth.

The well hidden mountain passes and sublime B roads are a real part of our UK heritage and Carole Nash has made it their business to try and share this knowledge amongst the biking fraternity.

Rather than pointing vaguely to a map and setting off in the right direction, Carole Nash allows you to specify the start and end points of your journey and the exact roads you will be following, providing a genuine sense of focus and purpose to any road trip. Perhaps you’ll choose to tick off the road trips on ‘Routes to Ride’ as you complete them giving further impetus to your riding adventures.
